Post signs/posters with BIG BOLD letters at prominent neighborhood intersections. A frantic owner is likely out looking for their dog and will see the signs.
Walk a found dog through the neighborhood and knock on doors. Neighbors are familiar with dogs living in their area.
Take a found animal to a local vet to be scanned for a microchip. This has proven positive!!
