Board of Directors

The Orange Park Association Board consists of 9 Directors. Directors are elected from the Membership and must have been an OPA Resident Member for a minimum of 1 year. Every January at the Annual Meeting, 3 Directors are elected to 3 year terms. A Director may only serve for 3 consecutive terms before being “termed out” and must take a minimum of 1 year off the Board before serving again. Spouses may not serve on the Board at the same time. Officers are appointed by the Board and need not be Directors, however only Directors may vote on any issues before the Board.

PURPOSE

Trail use, maintenance & all things OPA

Reviews & makes recommendations to Board on proposed developments & other related issues

Coordinates traffic plans with City & County officials

Exploring installation of sewers in OPA

Exploring pros & cons for annexing County portions of OPA into City of Orange – how we deal with

•Overlap in emergency services & utilities

•Two forms of Govt

•Keeping the rural atmosphere

•Zoning regulations

Community get-together & fund raiser. Ticket price supports event. Raffle & auctions support community projects.

Floats, equestrian units, all types of decorated vehicles & more lead by a fire truckfrom our local station. Started in 1966 & gets bigger every year!

The biggest fundraiser and social event of the year. Since 1971, OPA residents come together to enjoy pit roasted meat, country music & dancing. Raffles & auctions support community projects.
